Christopher Braunvieh was given the award for the breeder with the most show points for 2009. This is the third year in a row that we have won this reward!
Markus 8 was awarded with the titles of Senior Champion Bull and Grand Champion of the show!
Heroine was awarded with the titles of Senior Champion Cow as well as Grand Champion!
Awesome was awarded with the title of Blup Bull for 2009!
Results
The Average Price obtained was R29250.00. Christopher Braunvieh achieved the highest average price of all Braunvieh cattle that were at the sale.
Maxim
Maxim is a very promising young herd sire. He gives it all in terms of muscling and milk. Maxim comes from a very good mother and she was one of Bleumli’s (Pat Whetmar) best producing cows. He is a silver merit bull.
Maxim was sold for R31 000.
Bacardi
Barcardi is the son of the famous bull, Nampo. Barcardi presents a unique combination of a classy look with tremendous muscling and eye appeal. He also represented the Braunvieh Breed during the Special Interbreed Performance Test class in Pretoria in 2008. With his exiting profile, exceptional muscle shape and rugged structure, Barcardi’s offspring are bound to be as tough as nails.
Barcardi was sold for R40 000 to Gawie Naude from Barkley East.
Awesome
His name speaks for himself! Awesome is a deep, well balanced bull with excellent muscling. His top line is wide and level with very good width between his shoulders. Awesome is a STUD BULL! From the sire side he is a son of the famous bull, Rick.
Awesome was sold for R26 000.
Furco
Furco is a real dual-purpose bull with excellent length and muscling. From his mother's side, he came out of the famous bull Glattburg Norvicus. If you want milk in your herd or in your F1 heifers, Furco will give it all.
Furco was sold for R20 OOO. His new owner is Mr Herbs from Botswana.
